The game started in good spirits and the usual slow start from the Eagles allowed the Vipers to get two quick trys.

As soon as the Eagles woke up things started to change, the storming runs from the vipers were getting stopped, the pressure being applied led to handling errors and players started to stray offside.

The Eagles maintained the pressure to the whistle. The second half started as the first finished with the Eagles pressurising every play keeping the vipers at bay.

As the game wore on the toll started to tell on the vipers and holes started to appear in the defensive line for Rhys to take advantage of crossing for the Eagles first of the day. The game had to be stopped so both coaches could talk to their teams a tempers started to flare.
